Detailing submittals was way behind schedule and Barlines was called to get it under control and ahead of schedule. A visit to the jobsite revealed to Barlines work was progressing simultaneously from all 4 quadrants. Detailing manpower being the problem, Barlines immediately assigned it to 3 teams of detailers from their production office and a local coordinator. In a very short time, the detailing submittals caught up, soon after got ahead, allowing the rebar superintendent to make suggestions to reduce labor which he was not able to do before. Such contributions only became possible when field superintendent and foremen are able to visualize their given tasks with advance detailing.
The teamwork between detailers and ironworkers made the anxiety of building the Super Columns go away.
